My aspirations for college are grounded in my desire to become a more valuable member of society. I aim to acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the field of public relations while building meaningful connections and pushing myself to step outside of my comfort zone. College offers the perfect environment for personal growth and academic development, and I’m committed to embracing new challenges that will shape me into a well-rounded professional and individual. Ultimately, I want to equip myself with the knowledge and experience needed to make a real difference in the world.
To be completely honest, Michigan State University was never my top choice. For a while, I considered it my “safety school.” But as I explored my options and took campus tours, I began to see MSU in a different way. From the moment I set foot on campus, I felt a sense of belonging that I hadn’t experienced at any other university. The welcoming atmosphere, along with the dedicated staff and programs aimed at student success, made me realize that MSU was where I needed to be. I’m grateful that I kept MSU on my radar because it now feels like the perfect fit for me.
Through the Food For Thought program, I am seeking guidance and support in navigating the complexities of college and career life. I anticipate receiving valuable help in areas like career development, networking, and securing internships. Through this mentorship, I hope to gain clarity on how to make the most of my time at MSU and set myself up for success in not only the field of public relations, but in life in general. I look forward to the opportunities this program will provide, especially in terms of career advice and building connections that will ascend me forward.
